England, Baby!

Posting a few pictures from our trip to England
-different from the ones I put on Facebook.
See those for more.
Thought some of you might like a better peek...

So excited for the plane rides!

Exploring Montacute Castle

Loved the gardens there!  Croquet, giant chess,
swings, secret gardens...

 Trefusis, of course!

 Key to the Bradford-on-Tone church.
We met some of the locals and were treated
to bell practice from the church tower.

Dinner at the White Horse Inn across the street.  Slow but yum!

Sticky toffee pudding!  Thanks for the recommendation, Janet!

Below is the church in Chelwood - Shore Parfett lines.

And Farmborough nearby, Shore lines.  Tiny villages!

 L. just chasing pigeons, blissfully unaware of the magnificent
Royal Crescent of Bath looming behind her.

Proof that sugar cereals are candy!

Highclere Castle, where Downton Abbey is filmed.
So beautiful inside!  The Earl who lives here is a descendant of
one of the men who discovered King Tutankhamen's tomb.
There is a great Egyptian collection in the basement.

Harry Potter!  M. just fits Daniel Radcliffe's handprints.

L. A. and I all took a turn riding on a broomstick with a green screen.

Butterbeer.  Yum-o!

Mom had fun discovering Harry Potter with us.
Dad stayed outside and read his book.

Spence dealing with London traffic.
Thankfully he only drove into London once.
He's such a great driver no matter which side of the road!

Pussy cat, Pussy cat, where have you been?
I've been to London to see the Queen
Queen's jewels on special display at
Buckingham for the diamond Jubilee!

Kinda hard to see, but panorama of London and the
Thames from the top of St. Pauls.
M. and I climbed to the tippy top!
Click on it for a better look.

Olympic mascots everywhere.

Got our own capsule on the London Eye!

With Mom at Victoria Station

Best Beefeater guide at the
Tower of London, hands down!
He was AWESOME.

Rare sighting of the men's line for the bathroom...

Hever Castle - a favorite!

Jousting was fantabuloso!!

It was so hard to say good-bye and come home.
Love you so much Mom and Dad!
Loved England too!

How in the world did you get that much done? You must still be recovering.
