a girl in the boys club

OK, so I have no brothers.  No clue as to anything scout-wise and getting along in life just fine.  Until I had sons.  Enter cub scouts.  Not too terrible.  We managed.  Then scouts.  Like I said...no clue.  So, I must be the obvious choice to get asked to be the Scout Advancement Chair.  Right?  (I didn't know they let women in!)  Good thing, too.  Forced education.  So, now my sons have no excuses.  They get lots of badges :)

See all the merit badges?  11 this time.  N's been a busy boy.

My eldest got a bunch too, and a rank advancement.  Going for Eagle next.

And, in case you think we're all about boys around here...feelin' pretty proud of M's violin skills.  She's awesome!  Her class did an opera about the rock cycle at a theater downtown.  Entertaining!

Yes, that is an actual rat's nest.  Makes me wonder what her dreams are like.
